Embracing Your Emotions

Sadness. Sorrow. Greif. Fear.

These are all emotions a human being feels, perhaps even on a daily basis. The ups and downs of lives are inevitable and so are too the fleeing emotions within the tender heart of a human being. I was reflecting on this today. The nature of human beings. The tendencies we have, the emotions that drive us, and the thoughts we harbour in our minds.  Many times, people try to bottle up their emotions, some find that in doing so, they feel stronger, braver, like a warrior who fears nothing and worries about no one. Then there are those, who feel guilty about feeling. They think that to feel sad or sorrowful, or to fear, or to gieve is a sin, or is something displeasing to God. Th reality is, such emotions aren't unhealthy, what is, is the way we navigate them.

So don't bottle up your sadness, but pour it out through way of tears.
Don't let fear cripple you, learn to direct that fear by talking about it your Creator,
Don't swallow your sorrow, let your heart find rest in remembering Him, in turning to Him.

But don't let such emotions overcome you, and don't drown in them. The result will just be added. unnecessary sorrow, which you don't need.

Just remember, its okay to feel sad. Its okay to cry, I assure you, tears are a blessing. Don't feel guilty in staying silent, perhaps it gives you time to reflect.

Emrace you emotions, but don't let them control you.
Control them.
